Lakewood Real Estate Update as of 2/27/13

Lakewood residents love what the city has to offer. With a population of approx. 60,000, Lakewood is the 6th largest city in Washington State. The city has its own police and fire department, hospital, a Pierce Community College campus, Clover Park Technical College, and great schools—there are several private schools in addition to two senior high schools. Lakewood has several churches, banks, a shopping mall, and a 12-screen movie theater.

As a largely settled area that borders lakes, neighboring cities, and I-5, Lakewood has not experienced much recent housing development. Wonderful lakefront and golf course homes, homes with a view of the Puget Sound, older homes on large lots, and the Oakbrook community largely comprise residential Lakewood.

Currently in Lakewood, there are 165 residential homes and condos available with an average asking price of $350,682 . The 30 condos are priced from a low $40,000 to $289,900. with the ave. being $139,972.  The single family home ( currently 135 avail.) range from $46,400 to #3,500,00. with ave asking  price @ $397,507.
